Applications

Disinfecting and preventing deterioration (at a food factory)

Problem

In the process for manufacturing margarine for commercial use, in order to prevent deterioration of margarine a small amount of alcohol is used for atomizing the insides of containers before they are filled and the outsides after.

Conventionally, airless guns were used, but because the amount of liquid could not be finely adjusted, things became soaked, which was a problem.

Solution

Because usage involved a food product, a stainless-steel pressure-feeding tank was adopted for supplying liquid. In addition, an all-stainless-steel spray gun, the STS-6RW (φ1.0) was selected. Use of just a few of these spray guns enabled atomization to be done, even on container sides, with the optimum amount of alcohol.
