(major woodworking factory)
This manufacturer manufactured wooden taken-up
drums for electric wire that electric-wire manufacturers used
to store cables for electricity and communications. Employees
used rollers to apply a fungicide that would prevent mold from
forming on wood materials, but this was labor-intensive, which
was a problem.
four Lumina ST-6 (φ2.0) spray guns,
boards were automatically coated with fungicide as they traveled
along a roller conveyor, greatly improving efficiency.
Use of the ST-6, which is a low-pressure atomizing
model, prevented scattering, improved the adhesion rate, and reduced
the amount of fungicide used.
