Preventing static electricity
at a plastic-painting factory
The root of the problem was static electricity,
which caused dust floating in the air inside the factory to adhere
to plastic products after painting.
By providing humidification with air mist from
Mist Station Jr. (ST-5R, φ0.5), which
has a mechanism the provides 60° rotation, thus enabling wide-area
coverage with just one unit, humidity was increased and the generation
of static electricity successfully restrained. The overly dry
work environment was also improved, to the worker's delight.
Because mist consists of ultra-fine particles,
there were absolutely problems with products getting wit. Chalk
in the water supply was also removed with a water filter attached
to the piping partway through, which facilitated safe usage.

The gun provides atomized mist while rotating left and right.
